  • Management and supervision of Major Maintenance on behalf of Client
  • Traffic Management (12A/B/C/D)

The Project consists of the Operation and Maintenance of approximately 60km of the most trafficked part of Northern Ireland’s road network from Sprucefield on the M1 through the A12 “Westlink” to the M3, M5, A8(M), M2 and M22 motorways which run, north, east and west of the city.

The project contains a combination of between 2 and 5 lane dual carriageway sections of Motorway and All Purpose Trunk Road, and contains the 4 busiest roads in Northern Ireland.

The road forms part of European route E01. Main structures and data:

  • Length of the motorway with approach roads: ~60 km
  • Number of O&M centre: 1 pc
  • Number of bridges: 69 pcs
  • Number of gantries: 56 pcs
  • Number of interchanges: 11 pcs
  • Average daily traffic: over 90k vpd (over 100k vpd on M2 Foreshore section)
